Health card application
Newcomers will have access to provincial health insurance coverage as soon as they arrive and there is a waiting period of up to three months.
Just like the issuance of the driver license is the responsibility of each province or territory, so is the issuance of health cards. However, this is guided by the provisions of the Canadian health act. To access the various health care services, you need to have a Health Card which can cover prescriptions, dental and optical services, and other forms of paramedical care (such as physical therapy or mental health services).
A health Card can also be referred to a credit card, and it is the duty of Can Wings professionals to ensure that our clients are well informed on the process of applying for these cards. We will also help you to apply, and this will make every step very easy for you once you arrive in Canada
